Frequently asked questions
On your holiday home
Do I need to bring bed linen and towels?
Most of the villas provide bed linen and towels which is included in the rental .If you wish to bring your own linen we will make a deduction from the rental. In properties that do not provide linen you may arrange to rent it from us. For 25 Euro per person we provide bed linen, two towels per person and two tea towels, for the duration of your stay. Beach towels are also available on request. Bed linen is not automatically provided in the apartments, but again it may be rented from us. Upon your arrival the beds will already be made! Please ensure that you have made your requests in advance.
- Can we hire baby cots?
Yes, both baby cots and high chairs are available to rent. Sheets are provided with cots.
- At what time can I arrive at the villa?
As each villa has to be cleaned before your arrival, we schedule normal arrival times to be not before 16:00 hours. We close at 20:30 hours promptly. Please schedule your flights or travel itinery accordingly. We can be flexible under unforeseen circumstances but we also have to be strict on our working hours to keep up with the heavy workload in the high season. Please keep us informed of delayed flights, traffic problems or other problems that are delaying your arrival.
- At what time do I leave the villa?
You are requested to leave the villa by 10:00 hours. Please advise us if you wish to leave earlier so that we can schedule your departure accordingly with the key keepers.
- Can I use the villa to throw big parties?
The summer season is an invitation to be outside with a glass of wine and enjoy dining in the open air. Please do so, and enjoy your holiday. But we ask you to respect the property as well as the immediate neighbourhood of the property. Big parties with loud music and noise or any other event that enhances the possibility of damage to the property and/or causes annoyance in the direct neighbourhood are not allowed. In the event this occurs we reserve the right to terminate the contract immediately without any refunds.
- Am I responsible for any breakages or damage, even accidental, during my stay?
Yes, you are. All properties are checked upon the departures and all anomalies will be reported. Damages that will occur during your stay will be charged to you. You should inform us before departing of the property and replace or pay the breakages or damage that has occurred. We strongly advise you to inform us within 24 hours upon your arrival of any discrepancies to avoid that any losses or damages are wrongly attributed. Most of the properties have an inventory list.
Frequently asked general questions and remarks
- Is it safe to drink the water from the tap?
Yes it is. All water from the taps in the villas and apartments can be used as drinking water. It seems that it is even of better quality than bottled drinking water.
- I want to come home with a nice sun tan
.
Most people do. But be careful, the summer sun can cause a lot of damage to your skin if you do not protect yourself with a sun lotion with a high factor. All the supermarkets provide sun tan lotions for that purpose. Avoid exposing yourself between the hours of 12:00 and 16:00 for longer than 20 minutes at a time.
- The property has a pool and my children do not swim yet.
You are entirely responsible for the safety of your children during your stay at a property with a pool. Some properties have a fenced off pool and some properties have a common and surveyed pool during the summer months. In the case your villa has a pool without fence we strongly recommend that one person in your party supervises the children at any time. The children should also wear inflatable wings or life jackets designed to that purpose.
- Can be have barbecue at any time?
During the dry summer months there is a high risk of forest fires. For that reason open fires are prohibited in the region of the Var. Built-in stone barbecues are allowed in the Alpes Maritimes . But be careful with the stand alone barbecues especially on a windy day. The local fire brigade might show up and request to put the fire out.
